Soup of a Lifetime at NYC

My last visit to NYC was with family and extended relatives. We did all the standard touristy stuff like visiting Liberty Park, Top of the Rock, etc. What I was really looking forward to was the one day alone that I had at the end of the trip. The rest of the family was continuing on to Niagara Falls in upstate NY and I had to come back to Seattle. I decided to extend my trip by day to roam the streets of NYC alone and experience some of the local delights. This was my first solo trip in a new city where I knew absolutely no one. For dinner after walking down the Brooklyn Bridge I was craving for some hot soup and decided to go to Greenwich to try the delicious Ippudo Ramen.  This meal will last with me for a lifetime not because of the deliciousness (which it ticked all boxes) but because of its   #grandeur   and the   #memory   makes you want to go back and savor those memories again. #ramen   #newyork   #nyc   #ippudoramen   #junketography...

Lazy Afternoons at Malibu

My visit to Malibu was another one of those out of the body experiences. The whole trip felt surreal because everything was happening in warp speed and on the flight back to Seattle I felt like I had experienced everything yet nothing. One of the highlights of this trip to sunny Los Angeles was visiting Malibu and seeing all the rich people shop at all these designer stores. During the visit, I clearly remember thinking when would I get the opportunity to spend 500$ on an item and not giving a care about it. The other highlight of this trip was the sunny sands of Malibu specifically at Point Dume. Investing in a camping chair and an umbrella is one of the best ideas to find heaven at less than 20$. I don't know how to swim but spending time at the beach is something I have enjoyed lately. The soft sands at your feet and the sound of the waves. You can meditate and feel your whole body relax. #paradise   #malibu   #losangeles   #sunnycalifornia   #california   #b...

Kerry Park - Seattle

The Seattle skyline has the ability to pull you in, bind you with its spell and captivate you with Mt Rainier in the background. The skyline has changed so much in the last few years itself. With the new Amazon buildings taking up space in the skyline, to some new residential buildings that go up to almost 40 stories, the changing skyline has been one of the highlights to watch in Seattle.  To get the most  #Seattleite  experience, trek up the Queen Anne hill, go to Molly Moons and buy one of their quirky flavored icecreams. While slurping down the icecream, walk down to Kerry Park to have a once in a lifetime experience. During the rainy days (there are quite a lot of these), the skyline has a surreal feel to it against the grey clouds. On a sunny day, such as this one, the true beauty of Seattle comes out in its full glory. #Seattle   #Skyline   #kerrypark   #mollymoons   #junketography   #mountrainier   #snapshot   #spaceneedle  ...

Mr. and Mrs. Mohgan's Super Crispy Prata House

November, 2019 was when I decided to travel back home to India. However, I wanted to take a risk as well by doing something I have never done before. After experiencing one day of solo travel in NYC (post coming in a few days), I really wanted to travel solo to another country and out of my comfort zone. Choosing Singapore was one of the safe cards I played, because during my research I found that it is one of the safest places to visit alone. Every morning on this trip, I had one mission. It was to find the best breakfast in Singapore. The second day on my trip, even though this place was out of my way, I decided to take the 30 minute bus ride to this Prata House. Singapore buses are very comfortable and are cool to provide you a break from the heat. The buses are cheap and are much recommended over the Grab taxis. The prata at this place was definitely the best prata I have had outside of India. You do have to wait for 20 minutes on a weekday (this might be more on a weekend) for the...

Jelly Fish at the Sentosa Aquarium

Singapore is known for various beautiful spots and one of them is the Sentosa Aquarium. While everyone is aware of the classic tunnel shaped photo of fishes flowing above your head, this jellyfish over here had me spellbound.  Jellyfish are such simple creatures. They can live forever, they don't have a brain or a heart. Their sting can cause you to die of the pain and yet they look like one of the most prettiest and cutest aquatic animals. On the last day of my visit to Singapore, I was able to visit the Sentosa Island and see this jellyfish. The jellyfish was one of my highlights of my trip to Singapore and I would wan't to go back to see this simple creature again. #jellyfish   #sentosa   #seaaquarium   #aquarium   #singapore   #travelgram   #aquaticlife   #junketography   #photography   #travel   #fish   #animals   #beauty   #art   #real   #water
